Kailash-Mansarovar yatra restarts after a 5-year gap

The holy pilgrimage to the mountain destination “Kailash-Mansarovar” was resumed after five years. The Yatra was postponed during Covid Pandemic. The 2020 clash between India and China over disputed territories following PLA’s intrusion also led to continued disruption of the annual Yatra.

Mount Kailash (Gang Rinpoche in Tibetan) is a holy spot for both Hindus and Buddhists. It is located in Tibet and pilgrims can take three alternate routes. 750 pilgrims will undertake the pilgrimage in 2025.
