Indian PM to visit UK and Maldives; key agreements expected


The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi is set to travel to United Kingdom and Maldives in between July 23 to 26.

In UK, the PM is expected to sign a Free Trade Agreement, although there is no official confirmation yet. The Ministry of External Affairs said that PM Modi will travel to UK from July 23 for two days at the invitation of British PM Keir Starmer.

PM will then enbark on a visit to Maldives on July 26. He has been invited as the guest of Honour for the celebration of 60th Independence Year celebrations of Maldives this year. The visit is a symbol of a strong turn-around in bilateral relations between both countries.
