I used to prepare for the UPSC civil services exam in a private study room for students in Delhi in 2019. On a fine day, I was politely asked that my allotted seat was actually reserved for ladies. And that it was done by mistake. I was allotted another seat. Life was fine till!

One day, the librarian called me and said that I should not be angry with anyone. Perplexed! I enquired why would I be! He smiled and said he was just speaking like that. I also did not enquire much.

A few months later, my girlfriend said that her friend was asking if I was still angry with her. I asked why! She said that the girl mentioned that she was afraid to come to the library for some days because she thought I would hurt her. I was perplexed and furious. What sort of rumour is this! I asked my partner to call her.

The Plot reveal:

The girl came and greeted me. I had never seen her before. She revealed that my study room seat was allotted to her actually. She had requested for that seat because her friend used to sit at the adjoining table. I asked her why she was afraid of me! She said she used to come to the library only after assuring I was not present. Apparently, she thought I was angry and I will break her head. When I asked why she thought so, she said I made a fist when I was asked to move to another seat.

Imagine folks! A few months of circulation of Peaky Blinders-type of persona among her library friends. Laugh at it, is what I could do..
