There is a misnomer that the Iranian the conflict with Iran is a personal goal of Netanyahu and Trump. In fact, the conflict can be termed as an unfinished job.
Israel’s ultimate ambition regarding Iran was the prevention of a nuclear opponent. And, President Donald Trump just granted its wish. The Iranian regime was largely expecting this attack for a very long time now. This explains why the air campaign decapitated the political leadership, but failed to wipe out a well-planned de-franchised military machine.
I believe that Iran has played its cards already. Nothing is left. However, a ground invasion or operation can completely destabilize the country. Unlike Iraq, the geographical advantage may not allow US to aim a complete takeover.
